Plot / Synopsis
Ko Yan (Sire Ma) a prodigious musical composer, travelling to his official post in Cheuk Lai Yuen in Chang’an province gets involved with Kiu Bo-lung (Bobby Au-yeung) a fugitive musician on the run after killing a corrupt government official. Both their lives intertwine as Ko Yan takes Kiu Bo-lung’s place. And the latter assumes his identity as the official. Ko Yan though did not perish, loses his memory and wanders the streets of Chang’an. As fate would have it, Kiu Bo-lung again meets up with Ko Yan. And when he discovers Ko Yan’s ability as a composer, he promptly invites him into Cheuk Lai Yuen. The two thus builds up a mutually appreciative friendship.
Due to his conscience, Kiu Bo-lung cancels the wedding to Ko Yan’s fiance Yeuk Yin (Linda Chung). Though Ko Yan’s love for her have not diminished, Yeuk Yin’s heart has already started leaning towards Kiu Bo-lung. Meanwhile Yeuk Yin’s sister Zoi San (Myolie Wu) joins Cheuk Lai Yuen adding into the turmoil of complications. The fates of all four comes to a resolution through an event organised by the Imperial Palace.
